Elaine Bailey
Artist's Statement
"My passion is color and I find my subject AFTER I've found my color"!
A native of Ohio, Elaine has lived and traveled the US, Canada, Caribbean, and Europe. As a tacher and student she has organized, exhibited, and won awards in numerous juried shows throughou the US and Canada. Eaine is a graduate of Antioch University, Santa Barbara, holds a lifetime teaching credential in CA, and has taught painting in two colleges and specialty workshops.
Her passon for color is clearly evident in er work - her favorite bing florals.
Since 1969 she has studied with notable American artists and worked privately for 2 years in Rome, Italy with Alberto Conti.
Elaine currently is president of Land of Waterfalls Artists Cooperative. The cooperative owns and runs an art gallery in Cedar Mountain, NC.
