Artist's Statement
I am an American pastel artist specializing in landscapes, city scenes, and in expressing my love of skies. I began using pastels in the 90’s and realized that this was the medium I had always wanted - the colors, texture, and variations in laying on the pastel pigment combine to make painting an indescribable, tactile experience. I think artists should paint what they love, and I hope to convey a sense of peace, and an appreciation of the beauty around us, through my art.
